FINALLY

I know you all have been wondering what I have been doing for the past few months. I can tell you I wasn't eating bon-bons, painting my house, blogging, and that is just the short list.

Well in an attempt to get back on track what better time than now?

I am happy to report that a coworker took me cross-country skiing for the first time on Saturday night. We made the short drive to Maplewood park for the Candlelight ski. The full moon in the sky made it much easier for me. It is nice to be able to see the snow as it comes hurling toward me as I go head first into a snow bank. I didn't give up, I kept going through the whole course. I fell early, often, and most importantly with style. With all that new snow, at least it was soft.

Speaking of the snow, I would like to take a moment and thank the kind person who snowblowed my driveway Saturday. I have heard that my narrow path through the drifts looked pretty sad. What can I say, I needed to get to work. No point in shoveling more than I need right. Well as I was walking home I was dreading the task that waited for me. So much so, that I figured I would put it off until Sunday. To my shock, and total glee, some nice passer-by stopped and cleared the whole thing. It shocked me to no end. I called my friend to report that I had been "snowblowed." All the while standing dead center in the driveway spinning around. It was great. More importantly I didn't have to explain to a coworker why I still hadn't shoveled my driveway.

Those are the great things about living in a small town. So thank you to all.
